Introduction
Welcome to Long Island Bird & Nature Photography
The purpose of this site is to enlighten people about the beauty that engulfs Long Island. Throughout this site you will be able to view pictures of many of the different birds that either live or migrate to Long Island every year. You will also get to see some of the natural habitats that surround me everyday, that I have grown to love. Long Island is filled with gorgeous beaches, ponds, and shoreline; as well as marshes, meadows, and woodlands. With over 200 types of birds, the Island is also home to the White Tail Deer, Red Fox, Squirrels, and Chipmunks, along with all types of tress and plants.
Although I photograph mainly birds I do enjoy all of nature, so I will be going out and trying to get as many different subjects as I can. This site is being started in 2008 and will be an ongoing and ever expanding project. My hope is that all people will find Long Island’s natural surroundings as wonderful as I do. If you come away from this wanting to get out there and see the nature of Long Island for yourself then I have accomplished something. For those of you who are from the Island, I hope that you can appreciate the splendor that we have here. Too many of us go through life not noticing the beauty around us. We dream of far away places and exotic lands without knowing what is right in our own backyard.
So, sit back and enjoy the "Birds & Nature of Long Island", and get out there are start noticing the beauty around you!
Remember, "Take only pictures, and Leave only footprints". Protect nature for future generations.
